Does each country have a list of required vaccines?

No. Some tropical countries require Yellow Fever for visas or entry. Generally, vaccines are medically recommended based on your previous immunization status, health history and specific travel plans.

 

Will the London Travel Clinic provide me a recommended list of vaccines by telephone?

No. Although the secretaries are knowledgeable they are not physicians and have limited time to book your appointment. The purpose of your pre-travel assessment is to provide you the education, immunizations and medications you require for your specific trip. This requires an on-site visit.

 

Does the London Travel Clinic profit by selling vaccines?

No. Medical Pharmacy is independent of the London Travel Clinic. There is no financial incentive to have you buy vaccines or medications. The immunizations and medications are recommended strictly based on medical need and public health advisories as required by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

 

How does the London Travel Clinic know which health prevention measures are required for my trip?

Our recommendations are based on advisories provided by the Canadian Public Health Agency and the Centers for Disease Control, the U.S. Public Health Agency. These advisories are dynamic and change regularly. We therefore provide you the most updated information which dictates the recommended vaccines and medications.

 

I have been seen previously at the London Travel Clinic. I am going on another trip. Can you advise me by telephone whether I need to come in?

Yes. Please contact us and tell us of your intended trip including duration and location. If there has been no change within the past 12 months in your medical status we will review your chart without charge and advise you accordingly.

 

Which methods of payment does the London Travel Clinic accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit or cash. We do not accept personal cheques. We expect payment at the time of each service. We will gladly make arrangements for direct payment by government agencies, educational institutions or businesses if arranged prior to the appointment.
